Kern Oil & Refining Co. was proud to sponsor the Kern Energy Festival at the Kern County Museum on Saturday, November 9. The biennial event includes interactive STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) exhibits and activities educating Kern County residents about the role energy plays in their daily lives. 

“Kern Oil & Refining Co. was thrilled to serve as silver sponsor for this year’s Kern Energy Festival,” said Melinda Hicks, Senior Manager Renewables and Government Affairs. “Our community’s DNA is deeply rooted in energy, so it’s important to educate Kern County families on our history and remind them of the important role our industry plays in the success and stability of the Central Valley.”

Kern Energy Festival was incorporated in 2016 and draws thousands of attendees for the free community event with food and drinks, fun activities, attractions, and exhibits for all ages.
